A Sackett / Star Trek connection

Periodically I come across immigrant families that adopt the Sackett surname. Today I turned my attention to the family of Louis Sarcofsky, who was born in about January 1848 in Russia. I know that a few of his family are buried in Jewish cemeteries, so it seems likely that he, his wife (Rose Florence Franel), and his six children (b. c1870-c1894 in Russia) also came from Pale of Settlement (modern day: eastern Poland, eastern Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, and Moldova, with only tiny parts of today's Russia).

Louis's son, Harris Sarcofsky / Sackett, was born in Russia in about 1870. Harris's son, Maxwell, was born 1 Jan 1900 in Brooklyn borough, New York City. One of his children is Susan Deanna Sackett. Biography and Genealogy Master List describes her as a contemporary author and screenwriter.  A quick search found a Wikipedia page ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Sackett ) and her own website ( https://insidetrek.com/ ), both of which include information about her role in the Star Trek franchise.

I have a Star Trek story.  Leonard Nimoy came to my university in the mid 70's.  I was on the committee that brought him to our Sci-fi week.  When I was introduced,  he laughed and said "You're not her." I apologized for the disappointment.
